We are almost there....the time is nearing when we can start to make arrangements to get back on the mats.
Although Judo is at the latter stages of the return programme in all settings, we are hopeful of a start back date in early August or before.
We are currently awaiting documentation and protocols from NI judo to confirm the necessary restrictions and protocols so we can make a fixed return date.
Lagan Valley Judo Academy in Lisburn Racquets Club will be first community club to return, followed by Glenavy and Glengormley clubs.
After Schools judo will return in agreement with each individual school, although they have all confirmed that judo will be a part of their school life when it is safe and possible.
The Judo Academy will contact members by email, text, twitter and linkedin with information on how to make a safe return to judo. Please look out in your inbox, text folder and social media feed for information. We will also post all information on our website blog.
It is likely that under 12 years will be the last group to return to the mats and that strict regulatory and consistent rules will apply both now and in the future.
In the meantime, please read the current Irish Judo protocols below that will give an idea of what regulations we will have to meet on return.
