NI Closed Championships 2025!
A small contingent from The Judo Academy Performance Team travelled to the Foyle Arena on Sunday 2 November to compete in the NI Championships. Building on his competition record, Danya secured a Gold medal and title of NI Champion on the cadet U90kg. On his first outing in the competition arena, Dan won a hard fought bronze medal, securing a first and significant win in the U60kg cadet category. Silver medal for Aodhan at Welsh Open!
Aodhan won a hard earned and well deserved silver medal in the cadet Welsh Open in Cardiff today. After dismantling his first round opponent by multiple points, then defeating the GB number one in the semi final, he narrowly lost in a tight final. Now training six days a week while managing an apprenticeship, this goes to show that if you want to win badly enough, you can do it.
