After a successful first term at Cranmore Integrated Primary School in Finaghy, term two started with the students sporting their new judo suits. They can now get the full experience and develop their judo skills and techniques in the comfort of their own school. They will all have undertaken their first grading and achieved their first belt by the end of March.

Three Judo Academy fighters have been chosen again to represent NI Judo and GBR at this weekend’s Continental Judo Open in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The three fighters will compete with their team mate Rachael on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Aodhan, Quinn, and Conall will compete in the Junior, Under 20 event on Friday, and Senior ranking event on Sunday. Four Judo Academy fighters attended the NW Open at the weekend. Aodhan won a hard earned and well deserved silver medal in the cadet Welsh Open in Cardiff today. After dismantling his first round opponent by multiple points, then defeating the GB number one in the semi final, he narrowly lost in a tight final.
