Great weekend at the British Schools C’ships!
Another great weekend for The Judo Academy and NITD Pathway Squad. Aodhan got his first British medal to add to his collection, with an excellent bronze medal. Still recovering from a niggling injury, he managed to fight through. On another day, a final place would be possible. Michael and Danya were placed fifth, just pipped for the medal podium. Senior European Cup - Montenegro!

Four Judo Academy fighters have been chosen to represent their school, club, and NITD Pathway Squad at the British Schools Judo Championships in Sheffield this weekend. Aodhan, Danya, and Michael have been before and are expecting some good performances. Finn will be attending for the first time at a huge event. Cranmore Judo Academy !
After a successful first term at Cranmore Integrated Primary School in Finaghy, term two started with the students sporting their new judo suits. They can now get the full experience and develop their judo skills and techniques in the comfort of their own school. British and All Ireland Championships 2025!
What an end to 2025. Three players attended the British Championships in Nottingham today, finishing off the year with Quinn winning a bronze medal, Aodhan winning three fights and placing fifth, and Conall winning four fights in a group of 41 to finish in 7th place. The Judo Academy producing three fighters in the top 10 in GBR. Meanwhile Ewan and Michael travelled to Dublin to fight in the All Ireland Championships. Success at African Continental Open, Ivory Coast!

Three Judo Academy fighters have been chosen again to represent NI Judo and GBR at this weekend’s Continental Judo Open in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. The three fighters will compete with their team mate Rachael on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Aodhan, Quinn, and Conall will compete in the Junior, Under 20 event on Friday, and Senior ranking event on Sunday. NW Open 2025!
Four Judo Academy fighters attended the NW Open at the weekend. Building on recent success, Danya achieved a bronze medal in the Upper kyu’s and Gold in his weight category, ending the day with 50 points towards his black belt. NI Closed Championships 2025!
A small contingent from The Judo Academy Performance Team travelled to the Foyle Arena on Sunday 2 November to compete in the NI Championships. Building on his competition record, Danya secured a Gold medal and title of NI Champion on the cadet U90kg. Silver medal for Aodhan at Welsh Open!
Aodhan won a hard earned and well deserved silver medal in the cadet Welsh Open in Cardiff today. After dismantling his first round opponent by multiple points, then defeating the GB number one in the semi final, he narrowly lost in a tight final.
