Policies & Procedures

THE JUDO ACADEMY is affiliated to the NI Judo Federation (NIJF).  As such, we are subject to, and adhere to the Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulations and Child Protection policies submitted under the NIJF.

Any person attending The Judo Academy has a PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, or if they are Under 18 years old, their parent/guardian has RESPONSIBILITY to keep them and others safe, and comply with the protocols and guidelines.

In this respect, if you or your child have any additional needs, or require support for any reason, it is imperative for your/their safety, that due diligence is carried out, and to provide the coaching team with full disclosure on any condition that may affect participation in judo.

As per application form, this may include seeking further information from medical professionals.

It is advised that everyone has a clear understanding of what judo is before starting.  The techniques can be found on the 'what is judo' webpage.  You can also use a simple online search to find out more.

The above summary is based solely on health and safety, and mitigating the risk of injury or harm to everyone participating at The Judo Academy.
