Another successful outing for The Judo Academy at the All Ireland C'ships at the National Sports campus in Dublin yesterday. Quinn won the clubs first All Ireland title at pre cadet with 3 wins by ippon and a magnificent performance.
Little sister Imogen competed in the minor girls and achieved one win and some great experience to follow in her brothers footsteps.
Conall at pre cadet and Aodhan at minor both won 2 matches and achieved silver medals. Both had 'golden score' winning contests at very competitive categories. A great day for the McGivern household.
Cara's first major event saw her compete in a very strong pre cadet girls category. Cara achieved a fantastic win with a 'guillotine' turnover for ippon. A very valuable experience, Cara is going from strength to strength.
Finally, Nicole started judo about 6 months ago, decided to throw her 'hat in the ring' and go for the big time All Ireland Championships. A very hard earned bronze medal achieved.
