All Ireland C'ships 2022!

Updated: Dec 14, 2022

Saturday 10 December 2022 saw The Judo Academy's most successful All Ireland Championships to date!

7 players travelled, earning 2 Gold medals and 3 bronze medals. The Judo Academy had players in minor, pre cadet, cadet, and junior category's.

Aodhan McGivern won 4 out of 4 very tough matches to secure a gold in the pre cadets. An outstanding display of focus, control and tenacity from the young man.

Quinn Armstrong won all his matches with a focused, aggressive display of skilful standing and ground techniques. No one was going to beat Quinn that day!

Imogen, Danya, and Conall achieved hard earned bronze medals. The standard in these categories was the highest in the country and Judo Academy fighters stood up well and deserved their medals.

Ewan and Michele gained valuable experience on the biggest stage in Ireland for judoka. A daunting venue with very experienced fighters from around the country.

We learned so much from competing on Saturday and will take these learnings forward in our plans for 2023 and beyond.

No greater message than being focused, determined, and tenacious in competition, but more importantly, in each training session. Make the most of the time on the mats and LISTEN TO YOUR COACH!!!!
