Insight into a Performance mindset!

From a chance opportunity at an after school judo club, two brothers have chosen to embrace and pursue the concept of performance sport in NI.

Conall and Aodhan McGivern are leading the way for their school, university, club, and region, striving to climb both GBR and World rankings.

Quite an amazing story of dedication, commitment, education, discipline, teamwork, and opportunity.

With continuing support from NI Judo Pathway and Performance staff, their club mates at The Judo Academy, SportNi, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, Mary Peters Trust, and of course their parents, the lads hope to represent NI at the Commonwealth Games and at European, World, and Olympic events.

This interview shows the power of sport in a school setting and the what can be achieved with quality service provision and a little bit of perseverance.
