Aodhan won a hard earned and well deserved silver medal in the cadet Welsh Open in Cardiff today.
After dismantling his first round opponent by multiple points, then defeating the GB number one in the semi final, he narrowly lost in a tight final.
Now training six days a week while managing an apprenticeship, this goes to show that if you want to win badly enough, you can do it.
Next up will be a cadet, junior and senior Continental Open in Africa, followed by the British Championships in December.
Moving up the GB and World Ranking lists are a priority.
Many thanks to NI Judo, Mary Peters Trust, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, and SportNi for supporting their athletes.
