Summer festival returns!

Saturday 28 June saw the return of our festival format, the first since 2019. The format allows the participants to experience an environment that assimilates a competition but allows more time on the mat to learn and develop.

The matches were two minutes long, scores were called but the matches resumed for the entire time to allow freedom of expression.

Parents and siblings were educated in judo and how a competition may work, how their child would cope, the rules, and showcased the values judo can offer.

The format also allows participants to learn from the wealth of experience the volunteer officials and coaches have and shared during the matches.
